Abuse and Faith Communities

Involvement or membership in churches does not necessarily make a family less likely to experience abuse. Sadly, the stats about abuse in religious families are about equal to those in non-churched families. And even more sadly, many times, church leadership is unaware of how to handle cases of abuse.
